A man has been charged and more than $200,000 cash and cocaine seized following a vehicle stop near the Dog on the Tuckerbox.

About 1.15 am on Friday, officers attached to the Riverina Police District stopped a Mitsubishi Lancer on the Hume Highway at Gundagai for the purpose of roadside testing.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, where they located and seized cocaine, more than $230,000 cash concealed in bags and two mobile phones.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Cootamundra Police Station, where he was charged with possessing prohibited drug and possessing suspected proceeds, of more than $100,000.
He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Cootamundra Local Court on December 2.
Police inquiries are continuing.
