Perryman, the older brother of Greater Western Sydney defender Harry, will join the Panthers from Collingullie-Glenfield Park.

The 22-year-old played his 100th match for Collingullie-Glenfield Park this year and is looking forward to testing himself at a higher level.

"I know some people at Lavington like 'Harty' (Graham Hart) and Tim Sanson and have a few mates like 'AB' (Andrew Mackinlay) there so I thought I'd come over and have a crack," Perryman said.

"Lavington is the closest to our farm near Lockhart which is good as well.

"It's only about an hour.

"I've probably been thinking about giving it a go for a while."

Perryman has captained Collingullie-Glenfield Park for the past two seasons with his strength and ball-winning ability making him one of the stand-out players in the competition.

His younger brother, Ed, who has played NEAFL for GWS, will stay at the Riverina League club for another season.

"I've done a couple of ACLs but the past two years have been good without injuries," Nick said.

"The fact that I've been able to get some continuity back into my footy is another reason why I've decided to come into the Ovens and Murray.

"I'm looking forward to it."

While Did Simpson medalist Shaun Mannagh is set to play VFL next season, the Panthers look set to keep their list together with Chris Arnett (broken hand) and Lachie Gaffney (knee) returning from injury.

Matt Pendergast is likely to retire.

Lavington picked up four players from the Hume league this year with Brad Carman and Andrew Mackinlay (Holbrook), Aidan Johnson (Brock-Burrum) and Sam Hargreave (Rand-Walbundrie-Walla) playing in its premiership side.

Perryman is the second high-profile departure for the Demons after premiership-winning coach Luke Gestier linked with Holbrook.

However they have welcomed Ben Absolum and Ned Mortimer from the Farrer League.
