Suellen Doherty created the Bald Cockys Art Competition with the help of some other Oura locals.
"This is the first one we have had," she said.
"I have always appreciated and loved art, but I thought I could not draw or paint or anything, but over the years, I have given it a go.
"At the end of the day, anyone can create art, and that is why we decided to put this on."
The competition had few rules with any ages allowed to enter, any mediums could be used, but there was one rule that everybody had to abide by.
"All artworks had to have an element of a sulphur-crested cockatoo to it, a homage to the town's unofficial mascot.

"There's paintings, sculptures, fashion and even a sound element as well," Ms Doherty said. "There have been so many entries, and I am blown away by it."
Ms Doherty said she hopes to continue the exhibition each year. The age categories included open, juniors, children and preschool.
