Officers believe Ruth Ridley, aged 58, travelled from her home in Port Macquarie to Tumbarumba on October 18.
The Riverina Police District commenced an investigation when she was reported missing on Wednesday by her family who held concerns for her welfare.
Mrs Ridley has been described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall with a thin build, fair complexion and blonde hair.
Police believe that Mrs Ridley may have been travelling in a dark blue Mitsubishi Pajero towing a white caravan depicted in the images.
Police are interested to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle and caravan around camping or fishing spots along the Murray River, particularly near Jingellic on the New South Wales and Victoria border.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Ruth Ridley should contact Riverina Police District or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
