Coming off a 65-7 win over Wagga Christian College to start the new schoolboys rugby union competition, Mater Dei tackle fierce rivals Kildare Catholic College at Conolly Rugby Complex on Thursday.
Kildare started the competition off with a 37-0 win over Kooringal High School.
Mater Dei coach Ben Brooke was pleased with how the team has come together.
"We hadn't really had too many trainings together so last week it was good to see everyone in action together," Brooke said.
"Kildare have quite a bit of size to them looking at last week and defence is one of our weakest points.
"I think it will be definitely be quite a challenge trying to manage that."
Nathanael Mooney and George Harpley played a big role as playmakers for Mater Dei and their line up is expected to be similar for the clash between two of the round one winners.
The all Catholic schools clash starts round two at 4.30pm with Wagga Christian College to play Wagga High at 5.30pm while The Riverina Anglican College are out to make it two wins from two against Kooringal High at 6.30pm.
