The man sustained fatal injuries after losing control and rolling a 4WD farm vehicle as he descended a steep hill at Yaven Creek, near Adelong, on October 5.
SafeWork responded to the incident along with emergency services.
A spokesperson from SafeWork NSW said the investigation is ongoing and did not release further information.
On October 8, Wagga police Inspector Peter McLay said the man had been driving the 4WD towing a water trailer while completing work on a farm.
"The vehicle became unstable and rolled down a hill," he said at a press conference.
"He became critically injured. He was located some hours later ... His next of kin went looking for him and located him in the vehicle."
