Riverina Highlands Rural Fire Service has requested landowners refrain from using burn permits on Friday and Saturday ahead of strong winds.

Gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour were forecast to start from 11am on Friday morning.
"Although we still have over 20 permits out for the week end we have decided not to issue any further permits for this weekend," Riverina Highlands RFS stated.
"Current Fire Permit holders please refrain from burning tomorrow and wait until winds abate from Sunday.
"We will re assess the permit situation on Monday 28th October."
The RFS has declared high fire danger conditions on Friday in Wagga and the Eastern Riverina Fire Area.
As of 11am on Friday the RFS had yet to release any Fire Danger Ratings or Total Fire Ban advice for Saturday.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast at top temperature of 33 degrees in Wagga on Friday with a chance of a thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening.
Forecast winds will be north to northwesterly 35 to 50 km/h tending northwest to southwesterly 30 to 45 km/h in the early afternoon then becoming light in the evening.
