Northern Jets star Mitch Haddrill capped a fine season by adding the club's best-and-fairest award to his Gerald Clear Medal.

The gun midfielder pulled off the club and league double in a year in which he also took on the coaching role.

He held off reliable backman Brad McKinnon in the vote count. Midfielder Sam Fisher was most determined and forward Matt Wallis most consistent.

Haddrill is stepping aside as coach but is committed to playing at the Jets next season. The club is also confident Wallis will again be there as a key forward 2020.

It's Haddrill's second club honour, after winning in 2016. When he won the league medal in 2017, Alex Rogers won the Jets' award.

The Jets are currently in the process of recruiting a successor to Haddrill and hope they're close to some player announcements as well as a coach.

Keisha McLean took out the A Grade netball award from Brigid Lahy. Gerard O'Brien (reserves) and Josh Roscarel (Under 17.5) topped the lower football grades.
