About 750 people walked, jogged, ran or rolled around Connelly Oval on Saturday and Sunday Cancer Council's research, prevention, and support services.
Cancel Council community relations coordinator Christine Williams said Wagga's generosity was "outstanding".
"The Cancer Council is just one of many charities but noone said no and everyone put their hand in their pocket or gave their time," she said.
Ms Williams said that although attendance was down, thousands of people still supported the relay through donations and volunteer work.
"The Fundraising is going really well, the teams have been fundraising for many months leading up to the relay," she said.
"We announced a figure of $123,000 at the relay but it will be in excess of that.
"People are still dropping off raffle money and making donations, so it will certainly be in excess of $125,000. It's up on last year, which is really encouraging."

Ms Williams said number of other major events across the weekend across the Riverina might have contributed to lower numbers at Relay for Life.
"The numbers were down on previous years, as there were a lot of other activities that happen in October," she said.
"I think people need to remember that although there were 750 people walking on the track, there's also many other thousands of people who contribute to it in the lead up with the fundraising and the in-kind donations.
"Just because they can't make it to Connelly Park, doesn't mean that we haven't had input from thousands of people from from Wagga and across the district."
Ms Williams thanked all the volunteers and contributors to Wagga's Relay for Life.
