Moruya trainer Natalie Jarvis teamed up with jockey Maddison Wright on Georgian Court ($5.00) to win the $5500 Delta Agribusiness & Incitec Pivot Burrangong Young Picnic Cup (1400m).
Wright timed her run to perfection as she edged out the rank outsider More Ransom ($16.00) by a half length to claim the Cup.
Doug Gorrell's $2.40 favourite Southern Gamble was not far away in third.
It was Georgian Court's first win since January and Jarvis was delighted to see the mare back in the winner's circle.
"Georgian Court was back to her best (on Saturday) aided by a gun ride by Maddy Wright," Jarvis said.
The feature sprint, the $4000 McAlister Motors Open Trophy Handicap (1000m), was taken out by the Garry Kirkup-trained Original Prankster ($2.00), who was ridden by Ricky Blewitt.
