Police have launched an investigation after a viral post that depicted a person sitting in the back of the ute holding down some items.

Riverina Police District is investigating a social media photo that appears to show a person riding in the back of a utility vehicle in central Wagga while holding down a fridge.
In an online statement, police called for people who may have knowledge of, have witnessed or may have dashcam footage of the incident to come forward.
It is believed the incident occurred at the corner of Edward and Best streets, Wagga sometime around the October 7.

NSW Police Force Traffic and Highway Patrol Command originally posted the image of the Wagga utility vehicle on its Facebook page on Saturday evening with the comment 'loadfail'.
Earlier in the week, a NSW Police spokesman told The Daily Advertiser that an "investigations are continuing" after the photo was sent to police.
Police believe the vehicle in the picture was rented from a hardware chain. Along with the unsecured fridge, a loose mattress and stool can been seen in the back of the utility.
