With three studio albums to his name, Craig said he was always up for time on the road.
"When you're on the road, you just have a blast and Wagga is one of those places that has a great vibe to it - whenever I tell people where I'm off to, it's always the place that they think is really cool," he said.
After winning The Voice in 2013 and performing on some of the world's biggest stages, toning it down to Wagga's Civic Theatre for The Piano Sessions tour is a pleasant change of pace, according to Craig.
"There's a time and a place for every kind of venue, so while there's a nice feel to bigger venues where you have big bands behind you and it's really over the top and grand, it's also really nice to have smaller venues where you can talk one on one with the audience," he said.
"It feels as if they have you in their lounge room, which is an awesome thing to have."
Performing on October 26, Craig said top songs will include Candle in the Wind, Your Song, and Can You Feel the Love Tonight.
"I will admit, that song made me cry when I watched the lion king," he said.
Putting emotion into his music is something Craig has mastered.
"I was reflecting on this the other day actually, it's not hard to put a feeling into a song but it is hard to tell the story with music so you really have to take the audience into the story that you're trying to tell them," he said.
"It really has to mean something to you before you can make it mean something to someone else."
