GRIFFITH'S Glen Castellaro has added another overall high gun sash to his accolades after outclassing a crack field in the NSW State Trap carnival hosted by Wagga's Australian Clay Target Association.

Castellaro nailed 469 of his 475 targets in a range of events over the long weekend to claim his seventh state high gun title.
He needed to win a shoot-out against Victorian Andrew Brady, who won the AA grade high gun (533 from 540) to claim the top prize.
The ladies high gun was won by Numurkah Shepparton's Emma Cox (454), Majura Park's Darcy Maloney saluted in the junior high gun (461) and Yass shooter Giulio Serafi took out the veterans (450).
"We had 330-odd people and nearly 50 women there, which which was great. The weather was a bit blustery but it was a really successful shoot," one of the event organisers Dan Power said.
"The guy (Castellaro) that won the overall high gun, I think it's the seventh time he's won it.
"With Wagga being our state grounds, we'll be back here every year."
The state teams to compete at April's national championships in Wagga were also named with Castellaro joined by Wagga's Ben Woodhouse in the 15-person squad.
The association also held a gala dinner on the Friday night for the first time and Power said it is likely to become a regular fixture on the calendar.
"It's the first year we've done it and judging by the response it's something we'll continue because it was positive for the event," he said.
