Riverina Police District is investigating a social media photo that appears to show a man riding in the back of a utility vehicle in central Wagga while holding down a fridge.

The photo, which bears the captions 'This is Wagga' and 'Midday adventures', appears to have been taken at an intersection with Best Street, possibly at Edward Street turning north off the Sturt Highway.
NSW Police Force Traffic and Highway Patrol Command posted the image of the Wagga utility vehicle on its Facebook page on Saturday evening with the comment 'loadfail'.
A NSW Police spokesman told The Daily Advertiser that an "investigations are continuing" after the photo was sent to police.
Police believe the vehicle in the picture was rented from the hardware chain Bunnings.
Along with the unsecured fridge, a loose mattress and stool can been sen in the back of the utility.
According to Roads and Maritime Services, driving vehicle with unsecured load attracts a fine of $439 and the loss of three demerit points.
Driving with a passenger aged over 16 who is not wearing a seatbelt also attracts a $344 fine and the loss of three demerit points.
Some prior cases where passengers have traveled in the back of a utility vehicle on a public road have resulted in criminal charges of conduct endangering life.
