Just after 4.30 on Monday morning, firefighters attached to Turvey Park RFS were called to extinguish a series of blazes across one street in Tatton.
Across the neighbourhood in Kimberley Drive, up to seven bins had been set alight in succession.
Majority of the fires centred around the veterinary clinic at the end of the road, but some were peppered throughout the long street and on towards Tamar Drive.
It took firefighters moments to control the fires and extinguish each bin in turn, but most of the bins were not retrievable.
With the sudden onslaught of warmer weather, firefighters are preparing for an imminent busy season, made all the worse when having to chase nuisance fires across the city.
At the weekend, the mercury peaked around 30-degrees on Sunday, to begin the daylight savings season.
A high fire danger warning was current for much of the state at the weekend.
Cooler weather is expected to make a return from tomorrow, when the maximum drops to 16-degrees. Tuesday may see some rainfall across the region also.
It will climb again by the weekend to the low 20s.
