Numbers are well up on the 2600 who took part in 2018, with a whopping 1000 people - the event's capped maximum - taking part in the "Dirty 130", a 130-kilometre route on both sealed and dirt roads.
In addition, 13 brewers, two wineries and three cider makers have signed up for the craft beer and cider festival, which will be held in the Victory Memorial Gardens between 11am and 6pm on Sunday, October 6.
For those who are hoping to find something to eat while enjoying the brews and the atmosphere, there will be at least 20 food vendors on hand.
Five different artists will be providing live music.
There is good news for food and drink vendors, as it's not too late to take part. Check out the website for details.
With the mercury expected to peak at 33 degrees on Sunday, those cold drinks are likely to be a smash hit with both cyclists and visitors who are keen to enjoy the atmosphere in the gardens. There is a $10 entry fee for non-cyclists.
Ahead of Sunday's event, members of the Wollundry Rotary Club - the organiser of Gears and Beers - have been busy packing the 3000 rider bags that will be handed out to participants on Sunday.
The members have spent days putting together the bags, but only after they packed lolly snakes into 3000 snack-sized portions.
