Rabbit Books Arthouse will be hosting the Young Guns Art Exhibition on October 26, which will feature a range of artwork, such as portraiture, popular culture and surreal.
The students range from six to 16 years old and they will be judged on their creativity, originality, technical ability, imagination and individuality.
Co-owner Tahlia Harrison said 30 students have been going through the process of developing ideas and completing finished gallery pieces in order to experience studio work.
"The event will give them the opportunity to talk about and show their work," she said.
"It will be a fantastic event that is designed to give our young artists the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a part of the 'formal' art world."
