Winter beat star backman Ben Alexander to the award, adding to his Farrer League Player of the Year Award and best-on-ground in the grand final. Alexander was named Saints' best in finals.
Full-back Brayden Skeers was most consistent and centre-half-back Lachlan Robertson most determined.
Rach Galvin won the Saints' A Grade netball best-and-fairest, ahead of Liv Lang.
Cathy Dean was named North Wagga club person of the year and Denise Karlburg Saint of the year.
There was a bombshell from long-serving committeeman Rod Sheedy who announced he'll be standing down at this year's annual general meeting having spent 21 years on the committee, including 15 as secretary.
Awarded Saints life membership in 2014 for his service to the club, Sheedy will ease himself into retirement content in finally seeing the success he'd hoped for and worked towards.
"My initial goal (many years ago) was to be involved with a first grade premiership," Sheedy said.
There were other achievements along the way but the ultimate success, the grand final win against East Wagga-Kooringal, is what made it all worthwhile.
"After being involved in the reformation of the club (after it's season in recess in 2007), forming an under 17/18 team to link between the junior and senior clubs, and merging two clubs into one financially-viable entity, this year's premiership was the icing on the cake."
