Detective Inspector Adrian Telfer said police and emergency services were called to assist an unresponsive woman at a unit on Tarcutta Street about 8am on Saturday.
NSW Ambulance paramedics conducted CPR and stabilised the 25-year-old woman before taking her to Wagga Base Hospital.
Despite the efforts of hospital staff, she died shortly after 10am on Sunday.
Detectives from Riverina Police District are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death under Strike Force Lamson.
"At this stage, we have spoken to a 31-year-old male who lived at that address, and he has since been charged with manslaughter," Inspector Telfer said.
"He was provided with conditional bail."

Inspector Adrian Telfer said it is too early to determine what the relationship between the pair had been.
"We do know that they were known to each other," he said.
Inspector Adrian Telfer said the transgender woman was from the Philippines, and police had spent the past few days attempting to contact her family.
"Her family have been informed," he said.
"We believe this person had been in Australia for the last couple of months.
"We spoke to the family yesterday [Wednesday], and they were devastated by the death of this lady, and we will be providing them with as much assistance as we can over the coming months."
Inspector Adrian Telfer said neither the man nor woman had been known to police before Saturday morning.
The 31-year-old man will appear in court in November.
