Not only did the girls win their second ever leaguetag crown, after claiming the inaugural event in 2003, but the boys won their final as well.
Both were absolute thrillers with just one try the difference.
Captain Charli Speers scored the decisive try in the girls final against Young Public School to take a 36-32 victory.
Speers, Talia Franklin and Tessa Stoll were standouts for the team, especially with ball in hand as the two sides went try-for-try.
However coach Karri von Mengersun thought the entire team's defence really shone when it mattered most.
"It was all about their defence in the end," she said.
"Scoring tries is one thing but it is all about keeping them out and that Young team are such a good team.
"It was really impressive."
The boys side needed to come from behind to down St Mary's, Young in their final.
They trailed 8-4 before scoring the next three tries tries to lead 16-8 shortly after half-time.
However St Marys kept fighting and drew within four points, and even lost the ball over the line late, but Lutheran were able to hold on to take a 20-16 victory.
A draw would have seen the Young side ran out champions on the first try rule, just as they did in their semi-final against Henschke, so coach Callum Gardner was relieved to hold on.
"It was pretty nerve wracking at the end with a few mistakes from both sides but we were lucky enough to get the win," Gardner said.
"I found out earlier that if it was a draw they were going to get up so we were lucky to hold on."
Joe Stone, Angus Howe and Harry Wheatley all put in big performances in the final.
Gardner wanted the team to be strong defensively, especially in the decider.
He was pleased with how they responded.
"I told the boys defence is going to win the big game and I think they defended really well," he said.
"That is what gave us the win in the end."
The years three and four competition continues to grow.
There were nine gala days leading into the final with more than 200 teams taking part.
