On a day where strong winds and dust prevailed, the new facility was a welcome addition as deciders from ten years to A-reserve were won and lost after A-grade finals took centre stage last Wednesday.
The A-reserve title was won by Nixons, who backed up their one-goal preliminary final win over CSU Reddies with a victory by the barest margin over Shooting Stars Romanos 46-45.
The junior trophies were shared across a variety of clubs, but there were some intra-club clashes with New Kids Little Aces beating New Kids Sly Foxes 10-7 in 10 years Black, while Uranquinty Rubies defeated Uranquinty Gems 34-26 in 14 years division one.
"Numbers have been good, about the same as last year," Wagga Netball Association secretary Jenny Stubbs said.
"We had some additional teams in A-grade (seven, up from five) because we moved that from Saturday afternoon to Wednesday to make it more accessible to the older girls.
"We've got a stable young group of young players coming through, I think netball is travelling very well."
Wagga Netball will hold a twilight competition over six weeks after registrations on October 15 for juniors aged seven to 16.
A mixed division will also be included as they try and inspire boys to take up the sport.
