MOTORISTS have been forewarned of traffic delays as preliminary works on Wagga's Eunony Bridge start next week.

The preliminary works to strengthen and widen the bridge starts on Tuesday.
Access to the bridge will be reduced to one lane, which will be under 24-hour traffic control. The speed limit will also be reduced to 40 kilometres an hour as drivers approach the bridge and 20 kilometres an hour whilst crossing.
In other news:
Wagga City Council's commercial operations director Caroline Angel said motorists and transport operators accessing the Bomen and North Wagga areas via Eunony Bridge should plan for the delays or consider alternative routes where appropriate.
The works are expected to be completed within 10 days.
