Jaytee's The Fox ($4.40) powered to the line to win the William Farrer Hotel Aggies Cup (1600m) at Murrumbidgee Turf Club.
The talented four-year-old had kicked off his preparation with a couple of indifferent performances but appreciated the jump to the mile third-up.
He lugged 62 kilograms and edged out Old Man's Angel ($7.50) and Foxlike ($13.00). Jake Duffy was the winning rider.
It continued a good run of form for Wagga trainer Scott Spackman, who was also successful at Canberra on Friday with recent stable addition Gotta Want It.
It was Spackman's third winner from his last six starters, and his sixth win from his last 20 runners.
Wagga trainer Gary Colvin also enjoyed a win on Saturday when Mahsinger ($101) saluted in the Conqueror Milling Co F&M Maiden Handicap (1200m) at huge odds.
Albury trainer Mitchell Beer was successful with debutant Mnementh ($2.15), while Tumut trainer Kerry Weir won the last race with in-form mare Jounama ($11.00).
