IT got to the point where Collingullie-Glenfield Park defender and coach Brigetta Hart was begging Sophie Fawns to "just miss one".

The Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes goal attack showed why Goannas coach Marie Campbell believes she has the world at her feet after her best-on-court display in Saturday's 60-51 Riverina League grand final win over the Demons at Narrandera.
Collingullie was desperately looking to secure a maiden A-grade flag, but will have to wait at least another year after failing to turn a minor premiership into a title for the fifth straight season.
Still just 15, Fawns and shooting partner Katie Caller dominated throughout. The Goannas built an early six-goal lead before the Demons rallied through shooters Hannah Finemore and Flynn Hogg to level scores in the second term.
But every time Collingullie made a run, MCUE found the answer and led by six at half-time, before holding a comfortable advantage for the majority of the second half.
Fawns was called into the Australian under-17 squad earlier this year and Campbell said she has the talent to reach the big stage.
"She's an absolute match winner. Honestly this is just a stepping stone to fantastic things coming for that superstar and I'm so proud of her performance today," Campbell said.
"Honestly I think she can go to national league, at least. To be this good at 15, she's got all the fundamentals and I think she'll be making national league one day."
Fawns said she's not looking too far ahead.
"That's the dream eventually (to make national league)," she said.
"We stayed pretty calm and composed through the whole game, took our time and played our game.
"I learned tons (from Australian camp and have been able to bring that back to the other Mango girls, which has been good."
The most frustrating thing for Hart was they played "bloody brilliant netball". The Goannas were simply better.
"I was hoping Soph might miss one, but that's OK," she said.
"It felt like on court we'd come back and get close, then they'd blow it out again late in every quarter.
"We tried to stop it before it go to their shooting end and we did create some turnovers, we just couldn't convert them enough.
"I'm proud of our team, we played some of the best netball we've played all year, but Mango are a quality team and Soph's a quality player."
Hart urged her team to maintain belief the premiership drought will eventually break.
"I'm only in my second year here, but there's some girls like Jemima (Norbury) who are in their fifth or sixth year and for them it's really heartbreaking," she said.
