Charles Sturt's Vice-Chancellor, professor Andrew Vann said supporting Wagga Mardi Gras was an easy decision.

"One of CSU's core values is inclusion," he said.

"We believe we are stronger together - we welcome and support students and staff from all backgrounds, valuing the diversity each individual brings.

"We're thrilled to be able to support Wagga Mardi Gras. It will be a fantastic event for the region."

Organiser Holly Conroy said the event is shaping up well with activities and entertainment locked in, and parade registrations going strong.

"It's going to be so much fun and definitely one celebration you don't want to miss," she said.

Ms Conroy listened to feedback after this year's parade and has made changes, including adding more food vendors, an alcohol-free, family-friendly zone, and fireworks from 9.30pm on Saturday March 14.

The festival will run across three days, with a drag night on March 13, Mardi Gras on March 14 and rainbow markets and recovery breakfast on March 15.
