But the Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes player reckons watching boyfriend Corey Watt help North Wagga to glory in last weekend's grand final only increased the butterflies before Saturday's Riverina League netball decider.
Cole was proudly wearing the Saints colours as they broke a 25-year title drought Robertson Oval, and will wear the blue and yellow on centre stage against Collingullie-Glenfield Park at Narrandera on Saturday.
"In all honesty it (watching the Saints) made me more nervous, just being in the atmosphere of a grand final," she said.
"I was definitely nervous out there watching, especially when East Wagga (Kooringal) started to come back a little bit.
"I had to go and pick him up on Monday and he (Watt) was not in a good state. I would celebrate that hard too (after breaking a 25-year drought)."
Although the Demons were minor premiers, the Goannas will enter the decider full of confidence after beating Collingullie 54-48 in the final round and 63-46 in the qualifying final.
The Demons have now finished on top the past five seasons but are yet to win a first grade premiership, and the Goannas are focused on a fast start to enable those doubts to creep in.
"One of our main things is to start well," Cole said.
"I know last time we came out firing and were seven goals in front, which definitely helped because they were playing catch-up all game."
Cole has been a standout since her shift from centre to wing attack in the back end of the season, with young sisters Claire and Phoebe Wallace taking over centre duties.
"I definitely feel a lot more calm in wing attack, it's not as big a role as such and centre requires a lot more fitness," she said.
"They'll probably put Tameka Scott on me again and she's definitely the toughest one in their team I've played against, but I'll get around it.
"Their shooting end is definitely something we have to shut down, (this year's Riverina League player of the year) Hannah Finemore is quite strong in the circle and we need to shut down their supply."
The Goanna won three straight titles from 2013 to 2015, before Wagga Tigers followed suit the last three seasons.
Cole was part of the side which lost the 2017 grand final to Tigers, but believes this year's team is better equipped to grab their chance.
"I feel like we've worked a lot harder this year and have more of a team connection than we did that year," she said.
"I think we're ready."
