Wandering the paths towering machinery stand out, but there is so much more to the three-day event, as artists, business owners and more proudly showcase their work.

Antje Collis started in the world of art 25 years ago and has never looked back.

She focuses on painting, particularly native flora and fauna.

"I paint Australiana with a quirk," she said. "I have always been creative, even when I was little, so now I paint and play golf, and that's a pretty good lifestyle."

More than five years ago, Leanne Ivanoff took a leap of faith and opened a sewing shop in her garage.

Now, she operates her business Sew Fab on the main street in Narrandera.

Ms Ivanoff said sewing is coming back as younger people try to get in touch with their roots.

"We still have a generation who have always sewn, but we are starting to see a resurgence in a younger market," she said.

"They do not teach it as much as they used to, but people are starting to learn it."

Lucy Rose, known to many as the Snowy Mountains artist, has been working with oil paint for 13 years when she moved to the mountains.

"Henty was my very first show eight years ago, and I love it here," she said.

"I have been using a horse float and tent for my stall to create a gallery in which people can move about."

Ms Rose said a large portion of her work derives inspiration from The Man from Snowy River.

"I grew up with horses, and I always thought they were too hard to paint, but somehow they came to life in the mountains," she said.

"I just always wanted to do something I love.

"What I do is of the land, so people are really drawn to it."

Ms Rose added Henty Field Days was a great way to bring the community together.

And of course, it would not be a proper Field Days without cakes, slices and scones from the ladies with the Country Women's Association.

Margaret Singe, a CWA volunteer, said the organisation would be fundraising to continue their work in the region.

She added they fund drought relief, flood relief, the Rural Doctor's Flying Service and many more.
