A Riverina teenager will face court after allegedly stabbing a man in the street at the weekend.

According to police, two men in their 30s were walking in Leeton's Wirilda Street when a teenage boy approached them around 3pm on Saturday.
"The teen allegedly knocked one of the men to the ground before threatening the second man with a knife," police said in a statement.
"He allegedly demanded property and money from the two men, before stabbing one of the men in the chest and fleeing."
Paramedics treated the man, who sustained minor injuries to the chest in the altercation, at the scene.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested when he attended the Leeton police station on Monday.
He was charged with robbery with an offensive weapon and being armed with intent to rob and will appear before a children's court on Tuesday.
