Emergency services are working to clean up a 700-litre diesel spill in Riverina.
Fire Rescue NSW Inspector Frank Finlay said crews were called out at 12.10pm to a truck that had "jackknifed", which had ruptured the diesel tanks on the side of the semi-trailer.
"Fire crews from the Rural Fire Service and FRNSW assisted with fire protection," he said.
"The spill was contained with approximately 700 litres of diesel leaked.
"Crews are working with the recovery team to remove the truck from the roadway and check for further environmental damage."
The incident occurred 10 kilometres south of Daysdale on the Federation Highway.
Inspector Finlay said roads had been closed in the area, but FRNSW was coordinating with school buses to ensure they get through on time.
