Coolamon, the minor premiers, bowed out of finals in straight sets courtesy of a 48-point preliminary final loss to Wagga Tigers at Robertson Oval.
As was the case in all three meetings between the two teams this season, Tigers blew the Hoppers out of the water early and they were unable to recover.
Tigers kicked the first nine goals of Sunday's final and Coolamon were unable to get within 40 points from that point forward.
Coolamon co-coach Jamie Maddox said Tigers were simply too good.
"It was disappointing, for sure but to Tigers credit, they outplayed us in a lot of facets today," Maddox said.
Maddox could not put his finger on why Tigers had proven Coolamon's nemesis this year.
"They've been a tough side against us all year. Three times now," he said.
"We've got enough leg speed. They say we're too slow but we've got enough leg speed. It's not our leg speed.
"They beat us in the contested footy for some reason and then get us on the outside. We knew what they were going to do but we still couldn't do anything about it so that was disappointing."
The back-to-back losses from Coolamon continued a long run out outs come finals time for the club. The Hoppers have not won a Riverina League final since 2014.
Maddox said there were plenty of positives from this year to build on for the future despite the disappointing finish.
"Overall, we've come from sixth to finish third, in the end. Whilst it's disappointing to go out in straight sets, I think we've got the platform there to build from that to where we need to go," he said.
"I guess it's disappointing that we've gone out the way we did but we'll have to try and take some positives.
"We've played a lot of kids this year and they've played some good footy in patches. So we've got some games into them and we'll just build and keep working on the things we need to."
On a dirty day for the Hoppers, forward Joe Redfern continued his fine season with four of their seven goals.
