Southcity might have booked a spot straight into the grand final but it was the Blues who turned up on the day, steamrolling the Wagga powerhouse in a display spurred on by a roaring supporter base.
Here's how it panned out.
By the numbers
First grade
Tumut 28 d Southcity 4, man of the match Lachlan Bristow (Tumut)
Just four years ago the Blues were wooden spooners.
On Sunday afternoon, they surged back to the top of Group Nine after piling 28 unanswered points on Southcity in a clinical display to take their first premiership in nine years. Southcity opened the scoring after 15 minutes as Tumut failed to contain a Nathan Rose kick and they kept it alive, going through three sets of hands before finding the five-eighth to score. It proved to be a rare highlight - the rest of the game was all blue everything. Full match report
Looking back on the last near-decade of Southcity-Tumut clashes, it leaned heavily in favour of the Bulls. In the last five encounters, they've only lost to the Blues once, but they haven't necessarily been easy wins. The biggest margin was a 34-24 scoreline last year, and it had tightened each game since - until Sunday.
Here's how the whole competition looked during the year. Southcity and Tumut played against each other in Round 5 and Round 13, at Twickenham and Harris Park respectively. Hover over or tap on teams for a clearer look at individual results.
Reserve grade
Gundagai 28 d Young 8, best on ground Chris Rose (Gundagai)
Gundagai playmaker Chris Rose was in almost everything in Gundagai's 28-8 win against Young, scoring one try and laying on two more for fullback Kyle Ramage. The win brought the Burmeister Shield back to Gundagai for the first time since 2016. "A lot of older blokes, it will probably be their last hurrah. I reckon there'll be at least half-a-dozen who'll call it quits with a premiership under their wing so, you can't complain about that. It's unreal," coach Mark Elphick said. Full match report
Leaguetag
Brothers 26 d Temora 0, best on ground Brooke Wiggett (Brothers)
Temora have been the benchmark all year but Brothers showed their big game brilliance to dictate terms in the Group Nine leaguetag grand final. In their ninth straight grand final of the 12-year-old competition, the champion Wagga side added an eighth crown with a 26-0 victory. "It was unbelievable," Brothers coach Craig Stewart said after the game. Full match report

Weissel Cup
Young 36 d Gundagai 12, man of the match Jacob Lucas (Young)
The Cherrypickers were both devastating and delightful when they put it together, and on the path to victory by half-time with four tries to none before the break. Half-back and captain Jacob Lucas kicked off his man-of-the-match performance with a darting run five minutes in to put Gundagai on the back foot, and then provided the kick for centre Tom Jenkins' first try. Sullivan Cup
Young 12 d Gundagai 10, man of the match Nick Jenkins (Young)
Young made it back-to-back premierships in the Sullivan Cup, but it wasn't without a scare from Gundagai. There was little between the two sides throughout the clash at Equex Centre on Sunday, and in the end a Tom McIllhatton penalty goal proved to be the difference. Young hadn't been beaten by the Tigers all season but had to hold off a late rally to take the victory. Full match report
