Just weeks after the shock resignation of Kildare Catholic College principal Rod Whelan, another high ranking, long-term member of staff has announced his withdrawal from the school.

Kris Wheeler, leader of the Mt Erin Boarding School has tended his resignation effective from October 13.
A letter heralding his departure was sent out to boarding school parents on Friday afternoon, by the acting principal Christie Scoble and Mater Dei College principal Val Thomas.
"Kris has accepted a position as Leader of Boys' Boarding at Peninsula Grammar School in Melbourne and will commence there for Term 4," the statement said.
Until a full-time replacement can be sort, the community has been notified that Judy Barron will step in as a temporary leader of the boarding school.
"Mrs Barron has previously held this role at Mt Erin prior to her retirement in 2012 and we have every confidence that she will fulfill her duties admirably next term," the letter read.
"The recruitment process for a new Leader of Boarding for 2020 will commence shortly and parents/carers will be advised when an appointment has been made."

Meanwhile, the Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) has this week continued to advertise for a supervisor role at the boarding house.
Posted online and in-print last weekend, the a spokesperson for the CEDWW has stressed the new role has no bearing on the departure of Rod Whelan last month, or the unexpected resignation of Kris Wheeler.
"The boarding house supervisor role recently advertised was planned recruitment in response to an increase in the number of boarders at Kildare," the spokesperson said.
With regards to the specifics of the role's appointment and the nature of other recent appointments across the CEDWW, the spokesperson said: "The Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga does not comment on internal staffing matters".
