Alissa Neyland and elder sister Gemma Walker will play in the Hoppers' netball preliminary final against Collingullie-Glenfield Park, with Alissa's husband Connor to co-coach Coolamon's footballers against Wagga Tigers.

Coolamon is looking for their first netball flag since 2001, and have been the surprise packets of the Riverina League season after toppling Griffith and defending premiers the Tigers in consecutive elimination finals.

Alissa, 29, hadn't played in a semi final campaign since B grade in 2005, and has forged a centre court combination with Gemma, 34, in first grade the past two years.

Family has helped tend to Alissa and Connor's children Cohen, five, Iluka, four and Levi, two, to allow them to train during the week and play on weekends, while Walker has a young family of her own.

Alissa said the parochial home support at Kindra Park helped them get over the line in a one-goal comeback win over Wagga Tigers last week.

"It's never been seen before I don't think, all the (football) boys were saying it was a great game but they're not there very often. It was nice to have them all there supporting," Neyland said.

"Between juggling the kids we don't get to do it too much and luckily, thanks to family, we've been able to do it this year.

"We haven't been expected to win the last two games, so we'll stick to our game plan and keep working away."

Netball hasn't always been the priority for the sisters, with both handy touch footballers in the past.

Gemma represented at state level but Alissa said the chance to scratch her sporting itch alongside her hubbie was too good to ignore.

"We've only played netball in the same grade for the last two years because it wasn't our main sport, we played a lot of touch together but this year's been really good with Claudia (Barton) coaching," Alissa said.

"We played touch most of our childhood and a bit of netball here or there, but we've been enjoying our netball since the kids. It's been nice with Connor and his boys, being able to do it as a family."

Walker only returned to court last year due to family commitments and a knee injury, and is lapping up the Hopper's unexpected run.

"It's very exciting. It's something we didn't expect I guess to get as far as we did," Walker said.

"I haven't seen anything like it (last week's home crowd), it was pretty cool to be a part of it.

"I decided I wanted to go back and play, all my family's out there and it's nice to have a run around with my sister at the same time."
