The Blues centre has never played in a grand final before and admits there's already plenty of nerves ahead of the clash with Southcity at Equex Centre on Sunday.
"I'm a bit nervous but I'm sure as the week gets on it will be a lot more nerve wracking," Draber said.
"Hopefully I can control them all."
With Tumut devoid of success for so long many of the Blues are grand finals rookies and the 21-year-old doesn't even have any junior experience to draw upon.
Instead he's turned to some of the more experienced members of the side to help prepare for the big week in this home town.
"It's been a good year and all the boys make it a lot easier," Draber said.
"The older boys have been this week a lot easier on us so far."
Injuries plagued Draber last season, but the Tumut cente is hoping a much more consistent year can help deliver the ultimate success.
Knee and hamstring problems limited him to 13 games last year but he hasn't missed one this season.
"I had a few injuries last year but this year they've held off," he said.
"It's been real good.
"I hurt my knee last year and then my hamstring flowed from that, but she has come good after a bit of rest in the off-season."
Draber has played in the centres throughout the season but has found himself splitting roles in the finals.
After the different options in the Blues back three had nightmarish performances against Gundagai in the battle for the minor premiership in the last round of the season, he's found himself on the wing for kick returns
It's a role the 21-year-old is more than happy to do.
"In the last few weeks after we got caught out a bit at Gundagai we've changed things up,
"I think Dean (Bristow) wanted to change it a bit and it;s worked so far.
"Hopefully it works again this weekend."
Draber believes a good start will be key for Tumut winning their first premiership since 2010.
He doesn't want to let the Bulls get a jump on them.
"We have to start well as they are a very good side and need to play the full 80," he said.
