The Southcity centre was named in the Group Nine Team of the Year on Friday and is out to make it two wins from three grand final appearances in the top grade.
Bennett was part of the Bulls' reserve grade loss in 2016 before playing in the centres during their 2017 premiership.
He was also part of the loss last season and is looking to hit back against Tumut at Equex Centre on Sunday.
The 21-year-old can't wait for another grand final experience.
"You play all year for it so at the end of the year you have to be ready for it," Bennett said.
Bennett admitted it's been the hardest season he's had at the club since cracking the first grade side.
However after a mid-season lull compounded by a number of key injuries he feels the club is hitting their peak at the right time of the season.
"It's probably been the toughest one since I've been playing first grade with a lot of injuries and we've lost a few more games than we normally have but it has still been good," Bennett said.
"By the end of the year after getting a couple of boys back we have been finding our form again.
"It started off a bit bad but has been getting good towards the end.
"The business end of the season is where you need to be playing good footy and that is what we've done this year."
With star centre Usaia O'Sullivan sustaining a season-ending injury Southcity have had to alter their avenues to attack.
However the 21-year-old doesn't believe he's had to change his game without the attacking figurehead on the other edge.
"Losing Sai was a big loss for us and I thought I would have to come in and do a bit more work but Brody (Tracey) has come in and done heaps of work on that side and filled in pretty well on that side," Bennett said.
Bennett was been a regular in the under 23s representative concept and despite believing he's played better this season he was surprised to see his name in the Team of the Year.
Especially considering he's only relatively new to the position.
"In my junior years I was a lock or second row and played lock and a little bit of centre in my year in reserve grade," Bennett said.
"When I got put into first grade I was a centre but it has been good.
"I've come into it well."
Southcity scored a 22-18 victory at Twickenham when the teams met in the first week of the finals.
He doesn't expect too much will differ on the bigger stage.
"It's about keeping it simple and the game plan won't change," he said.
"Tumut will be tough still and we have to complete, complete, complete.
"That is what we've done in both wins."
