Will Herring's place in Gundagai's reserve grade grand final is in jeopardy after he was slapped with a contrary conduct charge.
In another twist of off-field dramas with the Tigers late in the season, the fullback has been charged over an allegedly racist post on social media on Sunday night.
After the evidence was reviewed, Herring was handed a notice of charge on Monday.
The incident has been graded as serious and therefore he has been directed to front the judiciary on Wednesday night.
The base sanction for a serious contrary conduct charge is 990 points, which is the equivalent of nine games.
Gundagai tackles Young in the grand final at Equex Centre on Sunday.
Investigations are still continuing over the role spectators had in the release of the post.
It comes after Southcity banned a Gundagai supporter from attending the preliminary final at Harris Park over an alleged racial slur.
