A gourmet burger joint says it is no longer looking to make its mark in Wagga, despite eyeing off the regional centre a couple of years ago.

Brisbane-based chain Burger Urge opened a store in Dubbo earlier this year and will be opening at a shopping centre in Wodonga by the end of the year.
In 2016, the fast food chain flagged plans for a Wagga store and then a year later made its second attempt.
However, a spokesperson said there are "no plans" for them to open a store in the city at this stage.
Burger Urge currently has 23 locations in Queensland and four, including the future Wodonga store, in NSW.
