Olsson will enter the count as favourite after winning the Riverina League Player of the Year award, as voted by coaches.

The 27-year-old has been regarded as the premier ruckman of the competition for the better part of the last decade but is yet to win the league medal.

In fact, the closest Olsson has been is a fifth-place finish in 2013.

The Lions' big man is not expecting too much to change come Tuesday night.

"I don't think I'm going to win," Olsson said.

"I might get a couple of votes but there's a couple of blokes that will take votes off me as well with the pretty even side we had this year. I might get some votes but we had a lot of contributors and when everyone was on the same page that's when we played our best footy."

Olsson believes the race for this year's Quinn Medal is wide open.

"I think it will be an interesting Quinn Medal, it could go any which way," he said.

"You've got Jake Barrett and Luke Redfern at Coolamon but they might steal votes off each other. It's interesting because it might come down to someone who is in a side that won't have too many people stealing votes away from them. Like Jarred Lane winning it last year, he was the backbone of Narrandera's side.

"You can never really pick it. You never know what the umpires are seeing, who might be a bit lippy to them, who is nice to them and gives the ball back. There are so many factors that could come into it."

Olsson revealed he played most of this season with a host of injuries to his shoulder, elbow and knee.

"I struggled a bit through injury and Ziggy (Zane Fraser) would get me up for games and to a level where I could play through," he said.

He said he was honoured to win the Player of the Year award, but would trade it and potentially a Quinn Medal to still be playing finals.

"I was obviously very humbled by it," he said.

"I don't go out there looking to poll votes, just to play some good footy and hopefully help our side win games.

"I'd prefer to split the medal with 25 blokes than get personal accolades. I would take a premiership or team success than personal accolades. I'm obviously honoured by it but would rather still be playing finals."

Olsson, who has re-signed at GGGM for next year, beat Coolamon's Jake Barrett by three votes in the Player of the Year award. Jacob Conlan and Luke Redfern tied for third.
