The Murrumbidgee Men's Group, which held its first gathering only last month, will feature a resilience workshop by Brothers 4 Recovery on October 13.
Brothers 4 Recovery founder Steve Morris, who has travelled around Australia speaking about mental health, and former NRL player Chris Grevsmuhl will lead the workshop.
Mr Morris said the aim of the initiative was to provide a non-clinical setting for those who are seeking help.
"To create a safe place for men to come and have a listen to experiences and encourage them to get the help they need," he said.
"In particular, their mental health and addiction recovery."
Mr Morris said the collaboration with the men's group came about because he knows founders Rhys Cummins and Jesse Warran-Rigby personally.
"We're good friends and we work in the same sector," he said.
On October 27, former NRL player Joe Williams will be talking to the men about his story and different ways to manage mental health.
Current NRL player and mental health advocate Joel Thompson will be delivering his program 'The Mindset Project' on November 1. All events will be at the Tolland Community Centre.
The men's group co-founder Rhys Cummins said it is a "great opportunity for the men of our region to hear from some well known people and organisations in the mental health field".
"To listen to their stories, find inspiration and learn different ways to improve their mental health," he said.
"Murrumbidgee Men's Group want to bring big names to our community, so that the men of our region can get the chance to hear from them and learn different mental health techniques to implement into their own lives."
The group was launched by the two Riverina men after their experiences with mental illnesses.
