Coolamon is only one win away from a grand final appearance and will get their first crack at that in Saturday's second semi-final at Narrandera Sportsground.

Standing in their way is an in-form Griffith team, who have stormed into the second semi-final on the back of consecutive wins over Wagga Tigers.

Jacob Conlan kicked seven goals as Griffith came from behind to down Tigers in the final round, then it was his younger brother Lucas who bagged six last week as the Swans repeated the dose in the qualifying final.

Coolamon co-coach Jamie Maddox admits the Conlan brothers are a key focus for the Hoppers heading into Saturday's final.

"I think the two departments in terms for us are the midfield match-ups, they will be key, we've both got some pretty good midfielders," Maddox said.

"And their forwards. How we match up and go against the Conlan boys. They will be keys to the outcome of the game."

Coolamon has been working on the right match-ups for the Conlan pair, who play at centre-half-forward and full-forward respectively.

Maddox named Zach Bradley, Josh Buchanan and Will Graetz as the most likely candidates to get the big job.

"(The Conlans) are both good players and are in really good form but I'll back our backline players, whoever gets the match ups, to get over the top of them for sure," he said.

Coolamon, after having the first week of finals off, have a full list to choose from for the clash against the Swans.

Jeremiah Maslin, Nick Pleming, Ryan Allen and Zach Bradley all sat out the final round win over Leeton-Whitton and will come back in for the Hoppers' first final.

One player who won't come in is Liam Delahunty. He has finished his commitments with the Giants' NEAFL team but injured his knee and is not available.

Maddox is happy with how the Hoppers are positioned.

"We did it a bit last weekend and we had a couple of boys with sore bodies so the week off suited them," he said.

"We have a full list to pick from. It's going to be tough, we've got 26 to go into 22 but we'll go off match ups and form and pick the team we think can get the win on the weekend."

As for the five years that have passed since Coolamon's last finals victory, Maddox believes it will only work in his team's favour.

"It's something that should spur us on, to make sure we turn up to play and do all the things we've planned for and trained for," he said.

"Everyone is keen as mustard to get out there and play in a big final for the club."
