With the cause close to their hearts, the team of close-knit family and friends are hoping to add a personal touch to their fundraising journey.
"Keith Shumack was the most amazing father-in-law and poppy to the kids, he was dearly loved by all his grandchildren and all of us," Paula Shumack said, who leads the Step4U team.
The loss of a beloved family member in October last year was the motivation behind the team to take part in the Relay For Life.
"He was a hero to us all," she said.

Along with raffles and other fundraising efforts, the team's main focus is on a 'Walk the Plank' event hosted by Oasis Aquatic Centre.
"We wanted to make it a fun idea, something everyone can get on board with to help a great cause," Mrs Shumack said.
"So we are asking teams, whether that's a business, a school group, even other relay teams to nominate themselves and pay a 'bounty' to have one of their team members 'walk the plank' of the pool's diving board, and the higher the bounty, the higher they jump."
The Step4U team are hoping it might become an annual event to kick off Oasis' summer trading period, with the debut event happening on September 26.
"We will only be taking 12 teams this time, so it's a capped event but spectators can come and watch all for a gold coin donation," Mrs Shumack said.
"Every donation counts, big or small, we're so appreciative of it all."
