About 245 students participated in six different skipping activities as part of the foundation's Jump Rope for Heart program.
The school's program coordinator Kate Steyn said everybody loved the day and the Heart Foundation was something that was close to many people's hearts.
"We had primary, infants and also teachers doing a demonstration to show off the skills they've learnt and that was a big draw card," she said.
Heart disease still remains one of the biggest killers of Australians and students learnt the importance of keeping healthy, while getting their hearts pumping.
This was the first time in a few years that APS participated in the program and the goal was to reach $2000 for the Heart Foundation.
"A lot of people got behind this event and I'm proud to be able to handover this money," Ms Steyn said.
"We reached about $1200, but we'll still be taking donations on Thursday." The program started in 1983.
