The star midfielder is in doubt ahead of the first semi-final clash against former club Wagga Tigers on Sunday after being charged with striking.
McCormack was reported following an incident with Lachie Parker in the 46-point win over Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong on Sunday.
It was deemed intentional with the impact low and the contact high.
He's been offered a one-game ban with an early guilty plea but risks more if the Goannas elect to contest the charge at the tribunal later this week.
They have until midday on Tuesday to make a call.
Any suspension would be a massive blow for the Goannas as they look to keep their season alive at Kindra Park.
