Last month, Woolworths announced the closure of the first three stores: Sydney's Chullora, Auburn and Fairfield stores, which will shut up shop in January.
However, the company is remaining tight-lipped about the fate of Wagga's Big W and whether it will join 27 others across the country.
A Big W spokesperson said there has not been any further decisions about announcing what other stores will close.
"With Big W's turnaround gaining momentum, and to build a sustainable network for the future, a store and distribution centre network review was announced in April," the spokesperson said.
"Big W intends to close approximately 30 stores over the next three years and two distribution centres at the end of their leases.
"The review of the store network is ongoing, with three stores recently announced to be closed in 2020 [financial year]."
A Big W network review update statement revealed that Big W is expected to report a loss, before interest and tax, in the 2019 financial year between $80 to $100 million.
This comes as Target sales have plummeted, which has cast a shadow over the city store.
