Just a Boy tour will see many of Sayer's classics return to the ears of the city.
"It's nice doing regional gigs, I really enjoy it, the audiences are really enthusiastic, they all treat it like a big night out," Sayer said.
"Whether it's 500 or 5000 people in the crowd, it's always exciting."
Sayer will perform hits from his latest album release, Selfie, and songs like Can't Stop Loving You and Thunder in my Heart.

Any performance in Australia is a good one, according to Sayer.
"The reaction here is always fantastic because people are coming from all places, they travel to see me and I want to put on a great show for them, it's flattering," he said.
"But I do have some friends in Wagga who always make my visits here very special."
Sayer said the show will take the audience through his whole career, one which he said had no plan to get him where he is.
"I've been living day to day since this journey started in 1973 and it has always worked out well," he said.
"Just take it a day at a time, it's great to not know what tomorrow holds - it keeps you ambitious and makes life exciting."
The show will be held at Wagga Civic Theatre on October 3.
