One of the key features of the million-dollar amenities block is four unisex changerooms, which provide all players suitable spaces to use before and after matches.
The new project will kick-start the $66 million Bolton Park Master Plan, which was endorsed by Wagga City Council in June this year.

The council's strategic recreation officer Peter Cook said the recent spike in female participation, particularly in football and cricket has been a challenge for the city, which did not have changing rooms up to standard.
He said the addition of four changerooms will alleviate the current demand on existing facilities.
"It has certainly been a challenge ... particularly with sports where we have same-day participation like Rugby League and League tag. There are females and males using the same grounds on the same day," he said.

Mr Cook said the building will be designed to allow comfortable use for both male and female players.
"We are making sure there are individual cubicles for the showers and toilets. No urinals, just individual toilet cubicles," he said.
"There is no male or female changerooms - they can use any, but by having four we can have both male and females using them at the same time."
Mr Cook said the grounds have been viewed as a games venue for women's Australian football in addition to cricket and also training grounds for various codes.
"The new amenities block will be unisex and that gives sporting groups and organisations more options to consider the venue for their events," he said.
"We are particularly keen to see women's Australian football continue to develop in this area and there has been strong interest from within local AFL circles to utilise Bolton Park for this purpose."
The existing amenities block at Bolton Park is currently located in the site's open space. However, Mr Cook said the first stage will be to demolish the infrastructure and relocate the building to the north of Geoff Lawson Oval.

Other key features of the construction works will include a new canteen and a secondary green keeping facility.
Mr Cook said the council will now start the tender process to design and construct the multi-purpose facility after it was unanimously approved by councillors at Monday night's meeting.
He said the expected completion of the project will be by early to mid-2020.
"The intent's to find a contractor to design and construct. Once they get cracking they can knock it over in up to six months," he said.
