The inaugural Flow Festival is set to bring a party to Bosley Park this month.

Daryl Day, a committee member for the festival, said initially the objective was to get local bands together.

"The Boat Club was the perfect spot, and then we had the opportunity to make it all easier by having it as a fundraising event," he said.

"The stage will be set against Lake Albert as an amazing backdrop, also giving the audience an amphitheatre experience with excellent visibility.

"The festival is showcasing some of Wagga's finest, local and hardworking entertainers."

Mr Day said Wagga is home for so many incredible musicians who work hard every weekend to showcase their talent.

"It's a rarity to see all of them in one place," he said.

"It brings the band together, and people get to enjoy that, and for a good cause.

"Businesses and bands need to band together, or you are doomed to fail."

Mr Day said it would be a fantastic day.

"Enjoy the start of spring ... and bring your friends and family," he said.

Darren Cassin, known to most as Tank and lead singer of Old Skool, said the Flow Festival would allow local musicians to bond.

"Getting the community together is the best thing about it," he said.

"We'll be playing all the good old-school rock tunes."

The music lineup includes The Convicts, The Mighty Yak, One Shot Too Many, Social Hand Grenade, Old Skool and more.

So what does the day promise?

Aside from the lineup, there will be food, drink, face painting, a boat display and fireworks.

Flow Festival is on September 14 from 12pm to 9pm.

Children under 13 can get in for free but must be accompanied by an adult, and tickets are $15 for those aged 13 to 18

Cost of entry is $25 for everyone else.

All proceeds will go to the Wagga Boat Club.
