Broad didn't take his place at five-eighth during the tight loss to Southcity at Twickenham on Sunday.
Instead he was on the sidelines in a moon boot after injuring his ankle in the Blues' training session on Friday night.
Things don't look good for the playmaker with the Blues now playing for their season.
"He did his ankle at training on Friday night unfortunately and it doesn't look real good," co-coach Dean Bristow said.
"We could be without him for the finals campaign.
"We got pretty lucky that Lachlan (Bristow) was right to go this week but it's not looking good for Toddy."
Lachlan Bristow certainly didn't look like someone who had missed the majority of the season in the 22-18 loss.
The plan was to ease the hooker back into the action after his lacerated his kidney at the midway point of the competition.
Bristow missed nine games, and was unable to train throughout his recovery from surgery, but got through 75 minutes at hooker.
He added plenty of spark to Tumut's attack in the process.
The Blues now have to pick themselves back up to tackle Albury in the minor semi-final at Equex Centre on Saturday.
They've won both clashes with the border outfit so far, but Dean Bristow expects a big test from the side who ended Brothers' season.
"They won't be any easier," he said.
"We know what we get with them.
"We've beaten them twice this year, so we know what he have to beat them, but that's not going to make it any easier.
"It will be a task and we need to regroup pretty quickly."
The tight loss was a big response to a poor performance against Gundagai in the battle for the minor premiership.
However Bristow is still looking for Tumut to make the most of their opportunities.
"We had an opportunity and I butchered a try to Ben (Roddy) and we could have taken them out of the game," he said.
"They then managed to score a try with a man down and grew a leg off that.
"We did wrestle back the momentum, but just lacked that killer punch at the end.
"We lost our composure a little bit, panicked and try too hard to score rather than just sticking to what we do.
"We are a young side, we are learning and it is another learning curve for us.
"Hopefully we take something and learn from it for (Albury) next time."
The Blues clearly learned from their previous loss with their speed in attack, and the options created, a vast improvement on the big loss to Gundagai.
Even with the unplanned personnel changes.
Bristow was confident they would put in a very different performance but still wants more from the team.
"It just wasn't us last week and I knew we would be a completely different side," he said.
"We know were we are at, we know we are up there with the top sides and it's three close ones we've lost against top teams.
"We need to be better and close them out if we want to win this thing."
