With graduation on the horizon the front rower is preparing for his final game with the club in the Southern Inland grand final on Saturday.
He'd love nothing more to finally score his first win over Waratahs in the process.
"I haven't beaten Waratahs the whole time I've been here so this will be my last chance," Woods said.
"It will be my best opportunity too."
Ag College haven't beaten their crosstown rivals since May 2015.
The closest they've been this year was a 34-17 loss in round 10 but Woods believes the return of Gabe Brown will be a big boost as they look to overturn the 55-12 defeat in the major semi-final.
With Sam Chalmers making his return from injury off the bench as well, the 21-year-old believes things are coming together at the right time.
"With Gabe Brown back from injury and Sam Chalmers likely to get minutes in the game I feel we're getting players back at the perfect time," Woods said.
The scrum was one area that Waratahs have taken advantage of in their most recent meetings, but Woods expects it will be improved.
He's also getting more confidence back in his body after a serious hamstring injury.
Woods missed five games with the issue before returning two weeks before the finals.
Now he's more confident in himself and the side after coming through a lean patch.
"Even for the first few weeks coming back I still probably wasn't 100 per cent," Woods said.
"Fitness was down and I'm still getting a bit of confidence back with my injury.
"It helps having Gabe back and it makes a big difference at set piece time."
Originally from Moree, Woods has felt he's been targetted more this season after Ag College's breakthrough year.
Now he's hoping to get things right in the biggest game of the year.
"As a team we had a great start and that's probably helped us coming into final," Woods said.
"We weren't in the best of form and having those early wins on the board, allowing us to have that second chance has been pretty crucial.
"We've got to play with a lot more confidence and intent.
"We've got a good work ethic and our fitness is there so I just think we have to be confident we are good enough.
"Starting well will probably be crucial and if you can get scoreboard pressure on Waratahs it might cause them to have a few mental errors."
