Tim Fischer will take one last journey on a train on Thursday in a fitting farewell for the former deputy prime minister.

Mr Fischer's family confirmed on Sunday his coffin will make its way from The Rock railway station to Albury railway station, arriving at 9.30am.
"Well wishers are invited to watch Tim's train as it makes its way on the main line into Albury at 9.30am," the statement said.
"Tim's train will remain at the Albury railway station until 11am and members of the public will have an opportunity to pay their respects to Tim from the platform.
"Attendees are asked to refrain from taking photographs to respect the privacy of Tim and his family."
The 73-year-old father of two and AC died on Wednesday night following treatment at the Albury-Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
The public are invited to attend a state funeral which will be held at the Albury Entertainment Centre at 1pm with Lester and Son Funeral Directors asking those attending to arrive early and be seated by 12.15pm, doors open 11.30am.
The funeral will be attended by Prime Minister Scott Morrison who took to twitter to share his thoughts on the death of his "dear friend".
"Jenny and I are deeply saddened by Tim's passing. Tim Fischer was a big Australian in every sense of the word. Big in stature, big in his belief, big in his passion, big in his vision for what Australians could achieve," he said. "And big in his view of Australia's place in the world. As a result, Tim Fischer will forever cast a big shadow on our nation."
Mr Fischer was the leader of the National Party from 1990 to 1999 and represented the people of Farrer from 1984 to 2001.
In recognition of Mr Fischer's military service, a short military memorial service will be held by the Lockhart RSL, on the railway platform at 11am. "Service men and women are invited to attend, and those present, are invited to throw a poppy on the casket following the service," the family statement said.
"A state service of celebration and farewell to honour Tim Fischer will commence at 1pm.
"Members of the Border community will participate in this special event which accords with Tim's wishes."
A condolence book will be available at member for Farrer Sussan Ley's Albury office on Monday for those wishing to pass on their thoughts, wishes and memories to his family. Ms Ley took over from Mr Fischer in the seat of Farrer in 2001.
In lieu of flowers donations be made to the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Trust in Mr Fischer's name at awcancertrust.org.au/make-a-donation.
